Dr Sean Ferencz is an Australian Specialist Gastroenterologist and the founder and principal of The Heights Gastroenterology. With over 20 years’ experience as a specialist, you will be managed and cared for by one of the Hunter’s most experienced gastroenterologists.
Dr Ferencz has been offering patients the best standards of care in Gastroenterology in The Hunter Region since establishing his practice in Newcastle, in 2003.
After completing his medical degree in Newcastle in 1992, Dr Ferencz studied abroad and completed his Fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Disease in Toronto, Canada. He is a member of the Australian College of Physicians and GESA.
Since returning to Newcastle in 2003, Dr Ferencz has been offering his patients medical and procedural diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal system. He is well respected in his field across the entire Gastrointestinal specialty and has a special interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
Dr Ferencz understands the importance of your digestive health. He is an expert in diagnosing and treating patients with complex health issues related to their gut health. Dr Ferencz will accurately diagnose and manage illnesses related to the digestive system.
Dr Ferencz provides procedures to his patients privately at Newcastle Private Hospital and Lingard Private Hospital. He is also cares for patients in his position as a VMO at the John Hunter Hospital in New Lambton Heights.
